Here it is, a much needed update and post... Who's going to read it? No one until I email every in about 27 countries and tell them that I have finally quasi-got my shit together and secured some (legitimate) webspace with domain names and the worx. Why did I need to secure web space? You ask with at puzzled look. Well, it's like this; I have a really good sketch of what I am going to do after I graduate college, and it isn't going to be working my ass into the dirt like I have up to this point.
I have been a graphic deisgner for years and have actually gone through several company names that just didn't seem to work. No, I'm not going to list them, that would be telling. So, what you have is the current and most likely, final, rendition of an idea that I have been carrying around for over 25 years.
Independent Rebellion Graphics and Machining is the end product, and it pretty much describes all facets of my life down to the letter. Independent, Rebellious, Graphic (in a lot of areas) and a Wrench (Machining).
The kick-ass thing about the company name is... my son's initials are IRGM. How's that for a kick in the nuts? My goal is to spend the rest of my life in a garage/shop somewhere with my boy, doing nothing but turning wrenches on custom hot rods and bikes. Hell, he already has more mechanical ability than most adults that I know and he's 4, and he loves it as much as I do. I'll post a pic of his new tattoo tomorrow. And before any of you say anything about his tattoo... I asked him if he wanted me to resize it, but he wanted it in its full glory. Nuff Said.
Anywho, one of the best friends that I have decided that he wanted some web space because, get this, his MySpace account wasn't doing it for him. It was limiting him and his creative/programmer tendencies. So, he wants his own space, and here we are. Select-o-Matic and "Lon and the Family Goad" sitting side by side on one server. I think that it's a great idea and a whole lot of creative energies that aren't wasted ont he 360 will be spent here.
Remember ChromeHounds? One of the best games ever created, hands down. Remember that I was a moderator at http://www.chromehound.com ? I own it now. I'll save all the Geek Gospel for another post. Needless to say... School is wide open and I'm busy as a one armed hatchet murderer at a frat party. All is well and getting better, but that is for another post as well.
See... All these future posts about absolutely nothing that you have to look forward to. Aren't you just pissing your pants with excitement?
If not goto
Chris' Site and see what he's up to. It'll be sure to tide you over. Especially if you start browsing through his links.
That's about it for now. I'm expecting a call about a billboard design that needs re-designed, and that was supposed to goto the printer already.
